The Power of Breathwork in Taming Our Modern “Saber-Toothed Tigers”

Reflecting Our Inner World

How Thoughts Shape Reality our thoughts and worries can shape what we see. When we get stressed, we not only send out negative vibes that come back to us, but we also make our bodies think we’re in danger. This makes us breathe fast and shallow, as if ready to run or fight.

For more information please check out the following TED talk:

Breathing Better:

Taking Control with Breathwork Realizing that we’re stressed is the first step to feeling better. When we breathe deeply on purpose, we calm down the worry inside us. Breathwork means breathing in a way that helps us control our feelings and calm our bodies.

Deep Breaths Tell Us We’re Safe When we breathe deeply, we tell our body everything is okay. If a real danger were there, like a wild animal, we wouldn’t be breathing deeply. These days, the dangers are different, like a strict deadline or personal worries, but deep breaths still help a lot.

Everyday Calm:

Adding Deep Breaths to Our Daily Life Putting deep-breathing breaks into our day can change our lives for the better. Someone who isn’t always stressed can think more about improving themselves. They’re usually healthier, happier, and get more done.

The Good That Comes from Calm When we’re not always on edge, we can do more with our energy. By moving our attention away from stress, we can be more creative, solve problems better, and grow as a person, which makes life more rewarding.
